I'm interested in learning VDI and was wondering if it's possible to do this with the current system that I have. It sounds like VMWorkstation 9 is great for building labs. The machines will not be on 24x7 so I dont want to purchase another box. I'm having a hard time finding if the hardware is compatible to do VDI in VMWorkstation.
Motherboard- Biostar TA880+
CPU - AMA Athlon II x645 Quad Core
Please let me know what you think.
It might be possible to update the board and CPU for a lot less.
